Story about the Buddha
I once heard an interesting story about the Buddha in my time in Thailand:
Once the lord buddha spent his rainy retreat at the Tavatimsa deity plane and began his exposition of the Abhidhamma (higher doctrine, or the analytical teachings of the dhamma or the analytical teachings of mind and matter) to deities of ten thousand universes.
When he went away for alms-collecting, he created an artificial Buddha to teach the dhamma. In this way he gave an uninterrupted exposition of the abhdhamma for three months.
Each day the venerable Sariputta went to Tavatimsa deity plane to the lord Buddha, who taught him the dhamma he had taught that day.
